We recently built Care Pets a Wix Studio template for pet salons, groomers,

and veterinary care providers and wanted to share a few things we learned

along the way that might help others building similar projects.

Tips from the build:

1. Use a calming color palette intentionally for pet care businesses, warm

and soft tones build trust instantly. We tested multiple palettes and the

minimal approach won every time.

2. Testimonials section is non-negotiable for local service businesses pet

owners trust other pet owners. Place it above the fold on mobile, not buried

at the bottom.

3. Staff Members app works great for showcasing groomers and vets much

cleaner than building a custom repeater, and clients can update it themselves.

4. Service listings need short descriptions pet owners scan, they don't read.

Keep each service to 1-2 lines max with clear pricing if possible.

5. Store Locator with Google Maps is a must for local pet businesses we

integrated it directly into the Contact page so visitors can find the

physical location without leaving the site.

Richmond's last quarter of 9.1.55 is the most against Dirty Rotten North beating the 84-year-old record set in Jack Dyer's first game in 1931. Ironically to save money Jack was left on the bench for the whole of that game as if he had stepped onto the ground for even a minute he would have been entitled to a full three pounds payment but as a reserve in that game who never came on he only got one pound! The Tigers won by 168 points that day! Doug Strang kicked 14 goals in that game which is still a Tiger record to this day and a small bloke up forward called Jack "Skinny" Titus kicked 8 out of his 970 career goals in total he kicked for the club! Tonight was DR North's equal third-lowest score against Richmond since the SF of 1974 (the year we beat them in the GF) and it was the first time that Richmond has defeated DR North Melbourne since 2011.
